You can't tell but the picture above is from my own wedding. I rocked out hard.
Today marks exactly 2.5 years since our wedding day. Which means, we are halfway towards making it through the second round during the anniversary dance. You know, that dance at weddings where they call all married couples to the dance floor, and then ask you to leave if you've been married less than a year, and usually then they jump to less than 5 years. Probably a normal person wouldn't even ever think about this when they are not currently AT a wedding where it's going on, much less get excited over it two and a half years in advance. But, if you are reading this blog, you know it is not the blog of a normal person.
We take our wedding dancing pretty seriously. Like, chomping at the bit until they finally invite all the guests to the dance floor, then we drop our forks and refuse to leave the dance floor until the lights come on and they drag us off. I take my wedding dancing as seriously as I take my love of chocolate, and that's saying a lot. Here's an artifact from an actual wedding we attended to illustrate what I mean.
I don't play around when it comes to dancing or chocolate.
Let's take a look at some Lindsey wedding dancing through the ages.
Carolyn & John's Wedding, May 23, 2008
What I love about this picture is that no one else is even dancing.
Wow - we look sweaty - Nikki & Rich's wedding July 26th 2009
Kim & Travis's Wedding October 16, 2009
What? I never said all our wedding dancing took place exclusively with each other!
Meghan & Hide's Wedding, September 25th, 2010

Gaga Claw!
At our own wedding, we knew we really had to up the ante, so we choreographed our own wedding dance. It featured "Forever", from Full House (sung by Uncle Jesse), which turned into Soulja Boy, and finally Ms. New Booty.
We recreated our wedding for our first anniversary. As you can see I'm wearing my wedding dress, Eric is wearing a tuxedo tshirt, and my bridesmaids came in from all across the country and wore their bridesmaid dresses. No joke. I have awesome friends.
We didn't spring for professional photography for the reenactment. I also changed out of my wedding dress when juice spilled on it and into a random purple dress I had that sort of didn't really match the bridesmaid dresses. My amazing friend in the picture below not only flew in from Arizona for the event but ran across the street after the juice spill to get stain remover and saved my dress. We are proudly displaying our paper plate awards during karaoke and dancing.
Awww I love trips down memory lane. We have a snow day (really an ice day) today so it's a perfect day to waste time posting pictures from weddings on a blog for an hour. I'm a master at wasting time.
I don't know why, but I am so entertained by pics of your hubby. LOL
ReplyDeleteLiking the new site look too! If you're anything like me, you will never be happy with your page and keep changing it FOREVER. :-)
